The birth of the concept

It was while admiring the small caravans of the sixties (Sologne, Georges et Jacques, Baillou, Escargot...) that Eric BEAU decided in 2010 to design a small caravan with a sixties look, together with his father.

"It has to be small, easy to install, quick to manufacture and modern," he says.

To meet his specifications, Eric BEAU came up with the idea of designing a nesting caravan using telescopic sliding modules, for which he registered a patent. Strangely, no one had thought of it.

The point?

On the road, you tow a small caravan that doesn't take up much space when parked, and when you arrive, you get a comfortable 12m2 space thanks to 3 modules that fit into one: the 3X is born.

After a first prototype was made in the family garden, friends and neighbors asked if it was possible to buy one? The Beauer adventure was launched and the company created in 2012.

The consecration

In 2017, the beauer 3X caravan won the jury's grand prize and the gold medal at the Lépine competition in Paris :

The following years were devoted to improving the product and finding manufacturers to produce the first models.

After 2 failed subcontracting ventures, Eric and his wife Patricia decided in January 2017 to open their own manufacturing workshop in a building located in Cholet, Maine et Loire.

Guillaume and Philippe were the first 2 experienced workers hired, joined over time by Nicolas, François, Jérémy, Yann and Jérôme.

New models

Based on the same patented concept, a range of products has been developed to meet the needs of private individuals and professionals: a 28m² caravan(3X+), or the cell-car, a removable cell attached to a chassis cab. As demand from professionals has grown, beauer has conditioned itself to meet this demand, adapting its vehicles to any configuration required: mobile office, training room, Fablab, hairdressing salon, recruitment area, etc.

All these challenges have enabled the teams to push back their limits, improve product quality and perfect their know-how, which is now recognized the world over. As proof, in 2021, more than half of sales were generated internationally.

Expansion

In 2022, the company relocated and recruited to meet ever-increasing demand: still based in Cholet, it now has 2000 m2 of production space and a team of 10 people involved in the adventure.

New chapter

2025, a new page in the company's history is written: Eric and Patricia Beau hand over the company to a team of 4 buyers, won over by the unique qualities of these products, and the talented team that brings them to life.

They are committed to developing our offer, improving what already exists, and giving it a new industrial dimension.
